Choosing the Right Shoes for Monsoon

With the arrival of the monsoons, you might want to take care of the shoes you decide to wear to work or during other outings. Monsoon is not the right season for your pretty pumps or stylish wedges. It is actually the ideal season for flats. But that doesn’t mean that you are allowed to wear something that does not cater to the style and fashion trends of the present period. You need to select shoes which are stylish but also fit for the monsoon weather outside at the same time.

If you are simply unable to choose the right kind of shoes for this monsoon weather, then here are some ideas as to which shoes will be ideal for this monsoon season.

  • The Plastic or Rubber Shoes
These shoes made of plastic or rubber is the most ideal for people living in areas prone to floods during the monsoons. They keep your feet dry and also remain intact even after repeated onslaught by the rain water. They have these small holes which helps your feet to breathe which in turn keeps your feet from smelling bad.
  • The Pretty Flip Flops
Flip flops are a vital part of today’s style and fashion trends. With them slowly becoming so funky and cool, they are an absolute favorite among youngsters and adults alike. They are ideal for monsoons as they don’t easily get dirty or damaged. They are perfect for your casual outings or your trips to college. They come in different designs and are washable.
  • The Boots
Do you love your boots? Then monsoons are the season that you can keep wearing your boots every day. They not only protect your feet, but are also extremely stylish. They compliment every kind of outfit. They keep your feet safe from the dirt and the creepy crawlies that are found on the streets during the monsoons. Make sure you have at least three to four pair of these ankle or knee-high boots.
  • The Strapped Sandals
Strapped sandals are another ideal pair of monsoon flats. It often happens that if your sandals get too wet they tend to slip away while you walk fast. That would lead you to trip or accidentally step foot in the dirty rainwater. So it would be safer to wear flats with a strap that keep the sandal secure and protects your feet. These strapped sandals have become popular among the different style and fashion trends today.

So make sure that you have one pair of each of these flats for this monsoon. But don’t forget to be in sync with today’s sense of style and fashion. Be sensible but look pretty at all times.

Latest Trends in Indian Ethnic Wear

With new fashion trends developing frequently, people have started experimenting with Indian ethnic wear as well. So it is not the traditional salwaar kameez that people wear today.  With different looks being experimented on every day, Indian ethnic clothes have been given absolutely new looks. Today, fusion wear has become the main foundation of fashion. Ethnic wear has been subjected to a makeover.

If you are thinking of trying one of these new trends, then here are some of the most popular ethnic trends of today:

  • The Ethnic GownsThe ethnic gowns are the main attraction at parties. With heavy embroidery or other designs, they are a sight to behold. When you wear them, you almost feel like a queen because of the regal style in which they are made. They resemble a long kurta with a lot of flare from the hips down. If you wear these ethnic gowns, you don’t need any jewellery besides a pair of simple but elegant earrings.
  • The Lehenga SareeBored of the plain old sarees? Want something different? Well, looks like your wish has been granted. You can now get hold of lehenga sarees which has become a popular part of Indian ethnic wear. They are as pretty and dazzling as a normal designer saree. The difference lies in the fact that the lower part of this saree, from the hips to the legs, resembles a lehenga. You would not need to pleat them like a normal saree. So it would seem like you are wearing a lehenga but looks as pretty as a dazzling saree and are much easier to carry.
  • The Jacket Style SuitsJacket style suits have become a very popular choice for grand weddings or similar lavish parties. They are not only gorgeous to look at but also have a different charm all together. The designs on them are so arresting that you will become the centre of attention once you wear it. Men's Fashion Guide to Monsoon Styling

A nicely-dressed man is always appreciated by the ladies. But when it comes to rain, it’s always important to keep the men’s fashion cool yet comfortable. It's difficult to be surprised by the rain, particularly in a place like Delhi and Mumbai, where you simply don't get enough of it.

Formal Wears

Simplicity is always a man’s best friend. Be it party or wedding, forget Designer Wear, one can wear a dark shirt with leather itemizing that will get a luxury component adding character and uniqueness to the look. One can combine it with a dark formal suit and a bow tie.
Complete off with a decent combine of velvet dress shoes and toss in a lapel pin in a tonally darker color. Forgo the neckline bar and tie clip if that one settles on a lapel pin.

Casuals

They say it's anything but difficult to be casual, but it is actually not. When it comes to men’s fashion, one needs to keep the things in sync yet theoretical to make it look additionally engaging. I think a sun dyed summer pastel shirt with a bit of detailing collaborated with some custom-made shorts can be the ideal call for sultry summer. Make sure the length sits right over the knee and not very short. Anything longer would look messy so getting it somewhat decreased will give the easygoing look vibe. One can go in for white plimsolls or sneakers.

Beach Look

Fun, flirty and fall makes the beach look great. Now boys too have reason to flaunt their beach body. All it takes is to set out and dress. A cool nautical shirt can create an impression at the beach but bear in mind to move up your sleeves (to keep up with the latest men’s fashion). The nautical striped shirt can be cooperated with a couple of strong or even little dobby shorts. Flip flops are the best pick on the beach also, wear reflectors to complement the look.

Footwear

The rainwater wreaks devastation on leather and suede items, so settle on shoes that have rubber (waterproof) soles with a firm grasp. Rubber boots (galoshes) are a best pick to hide leather shoes without going for gumboots.

Hair

Styling must be done when it goes suddenly from damp to dry. Moist hair is extremely adaptable. It extends effortlessly and breaks. It should be taken care of cautiously. Towel dry tenderly and don't draw or brush wet hair. Utilize your fingers or a blow dryer to dry hair until it's fair marginally damp. Try to keep the hair as dry as possible in order to maintain a strategic distance from any diseases.

While we state the excellencies of looking ultra stylish, when we talk about men’s fashion, we'd be delinquent to give you the feeling that looking great should rank above keeping dry when it comes to your rainy-day closet.

Essential Tips for Summer Make-up

A woman’s best friend is her make-up kit. To maintain the effortlessly beautiful look, you need your make-up to be perfect at every occasion. But it is universal knowledge that summers are the time when you need to be thoughtful with your make-up.  The sweat is what poses a threat to your make up tactics because nobody would want to see you with black eyes due to your running mascara or a face blotched with uneven amount of foundation. It completely destroys your flawless beauty. You need to apply the right amount of make-up to make your face look natural but beautiful. So you need proper makeup and beauty tips so that you can still look beautiful with your make-up during summer.

Here are 5 essential beauty tips for women that will help you use your make-up wisely during summers.
  1. Keep Your Foundation Light
Whatever you do, do not plan to cake your face with unlimited amount of foundation. This is the worst plan during summers. Use minimum amount of foundation on your skin. Cover every inch of your face, but don’t apply more than one coat. Keep it light so that the sweat does not make the foundation run and drip.
  2. The Eye Make-up Should be Waterproof
The eye-liner and mascara that you use should be waterproof. When your face sweats, if the eyeliner starts running down your cheeks like tears, it is going to be a catastrophe. So it is best that these items are water proof so that no matter how hot it is and how much you sweat, your eyes stay pretty.
  3. The Eye-Shadow Colour Should be Light
Do not use dark eye shadows during summers. Dark colours are usually avoided during summers. So keep your eye shadow light but bright. Make sure you apply just a single coat. Too much make-up can also make you sweat more. Shimmery colours like golden, silver and peach are the best choices for summer.
  4. The Moisturiser Should Be Light
The moisturiser that you use to protect yourself from the sun should not be very thick. It should be light so as to protect your face but not make you feel uncomfortable. The moisturiser with SPF 15 is the best one to keep your face hydrated during the intense summer heat.
  5. Say Goodbye to Thick Dark Lipsticks
Those days of using dark thick lipsticks have passed by along with winter. Switch to lighter brightly coloured lip gloss during summers. They keep your lips chapped and makes you look beautiful all at the same time.  But if you aren’t a big fan of gloss, use coloured chapsticks. They make you look equally pretty. Make your chapstick your best buddy this summer.
Now that you have gone through these five essential make-up tips for this summer, make sure you follow them. The main aim is to keep your make-up light but bright and beautiful. So maintain your effortless beauty with these make-up tips and outshine everyone else this summer!

Latest Indian Fashion Trends This Season

India doesn’t want to be left behind in the fashion game. India has its share of spectacular fashion shows defining the latest fashion trends in India. Indian trends are inspired by its inherent culture and western influences. Indian women wait eagerly for the fashion shows to incorporate them in their daily wardrobe. Here’s what’s trending in Indian fashion this season.

Traditional:

The traditional kurti is all hot this season. With celebrities ditching western and donning the kurti, to haute couture designers taking the kurti to new levels, this traditional attire is an integral part of the latest fashion trends in India. New cuts and innovative styling has lent this familiar piece a novel look. Gone are the days of side slits and pairing it with salwar. It’s the season of monochromes, funky cuts and unconventional accessorizing. Stock up on bold prints or solid monochrome kurtis. Instead of buying the same old side slit, go for front slits or one side slit.

Stripes:

The stripes are back. This classy piece of style is back and here to stay. From stripped shirts to stripped shoes, the trend seems to have gone viral. Stripes are being given a whole new level with bold colored stripes being the order of the day. Anything stripped can be part of your outfit, it can be a stripped scarf or a stripped bag paired with your attire. Stripes are fun to play with and are versatile, so that you can pair them with anything. A stripped shirt can be paired with a solid colored top or stripped sweater with solid colored shirt, the options are innumerable.

Boots:

Over the knee boots are trending this season. Their use is no more restricted to the winter months. Over the knee boots in comfortable material like suede or even converse can be paired with short skirts, pulled over jeans and they obviously always go well with winter apparel of any kind.

Layers:

Layering is something fashion designers are swearing by this season. Single pieces have become too boring. Layering does not stop at layering a shirt with a blazer. It has extended to literally everything, both for traditional and western outfits. Kurti is no longer worn alone; it is being paired with small quarter Jodhpur coats. Simple tee shirts are being layered with colorful shrugs and so on.
There you go ladies, your quick fix for this season.

Indian Fashion Blogs Shaping Wardrobes

Gone are the days when people would buy anything that attracted their eye in cloth stores. With branded stores sprouting up at every corner, people with the bucks are flocking to where the trendy items are. Indian Fashion blogs are being written to educate the youth about the latest trends and aid them in buying and styling according to the latest trends. Just like the influence of Bollywood and Hollywood, the influence of fashion blogs is being equally felt in people’s wardrobes. Here’s why.

Decoding Styles:

We often envy the celebrities for what they are wearing, but can’t afford the clothes that they wear. A number of fashion blogs these days decode the style of these celebrities and also make suggestions as to where we can find similar clothes at an affordable price. They decode both Hollywood and Bollywood fashion, and greatly aid all aspiring to copy the style of celebrities.

It is not possible to follow the various fashion weeks that are showcased in India. But many wish to incorporate the trends of the season in their daily style. Many Indian fashion blogs take the pain to review the different styles that come up on the ramp, analyze them and present them on a platter to those interested. They methodically take up each show and not only list the trends that came up but also suggest ways of incorporating them in our wardrobe. Their fashion expertise has helped a lot of men and women to sport the latest trends without looking clownish.

Tutorials:

Fashion blogs are not limited to clothes only; many deal with the latest hair and makeup trends. Many want that smoky eye, the fishtail braid, the man bun but are not always aware of how to properly do it. These fashion blogs through videos, pictures and the like methodically explain to the readers or viewers how to DIY the particular style. From showing in detail how to create the perfect winged liner to how to tie a bow tie, they cover it all.

Resourceful:

Last but not the least, they many a times provide links to shops from where one can purchase such items as listed or the shops that sell the said items. Some even suggest cheap ideas to get a stylish wardrobe.

The influence of fashion blogs on the average youth is huge and continues to be so due to their ever helpful ways.
